Manual H & B Test Bench
Congratulations on your purchased H&B test bench.
The purpose of the test bench is to measure the speed of your car up to 12.2 volts .
This makes it possible to measure whether you, or the other drivers are driving around the track with equivalent cars in terms of speed.
This makes slot car racing a fair game.
1) The test bench has a built-in computer, which requires a minimum voltage of 6 volts to activate.
The LCD screen will go out under 6 volts, so will the computer.
this doesn't mean you can't use the H&B. however, there will no longer be a speed measuring.
At lower speeds, you can see if your tires are round, "if the tires bounce, they are not round"
The fact that you cannot measure speed below 6 volts is not very relevant, since no one will drive on his track with this low voltage.
the test bench has a supplied power supply from 0 to 12.2 volts 2 amp. do not use any other power supply.
If you use a higer voltage suply, than 12,2 volt, you damage the computer inside the H & B testbench.
How to:
Plug the power adapter in the H & B Test Bench, dial to 12 volt on the adapter.
The led en the computer wil start.
Place the car on the Bench, adjust the distance for the rollers with the magnet bar.
Toggle the on/of switch om the Bench, now you have power on the breads off the car.
Adjust the speed on the adapter again, because a car with power load, change the voltage suplied.
if the led screen indicates 12,0 12,1 your okay, power always come in loads, so it will change .
The measurment will take place...!!
In the screen you see 5 values:
1) voltage of the output.
2) RPM, this is the measurement of the speed of the rollers (not the motor or tires)
3) M/S, the distance you travel per second.
4) KM per hour, speaks for itself.
On request: miles per hour Feed per second
Warning:
Fuse: short circuit If the bread of the pick up of the car touches each other, a short circuit will occur, in this case the fuse will blow, also if screws come loose from the car due to vibration, or with a metal chassis there is a risk of a short circuit. Replace the fuse to a maximum of 12 volts 1 amp.
Heat:
The 3d print is made of PLA, which has the property to deform above 50 degrees Celsius. is 122 degrees farenheit. So do not leave the test bech in your car when the sun is shining.
The test Bech is made for testing your speed.
it is not a brake in motor machine, although all test benches have been checked for "stress test" for a minimum of hours of operation with a moving slot car, there will be no guarantee of hours of continuous operation.
